Another successful Amazing Race

A great success!! The Amazing Race: North York Season 2 was a great success this past Saturday, May 10, 2010. Over 30 racers braved gale-force wind and torrential downpours to traverse across North York, participating in various challenges against the young people with whom Youth Unlimited works. Racers played dodgeball in Flemingdon Park, discovered our vision at Jane-Sheppard, located community murals in Jane-Finch, pitched business ideas to our Blueprints panel, decoded batiks with the Sketch & Believe girls, played Wii against Hoop 2 Hope youth and had to do a role play for SkillStream youth. Although everyone ended the day wet and cold, their enthusiastic spirits could not be dampened.

Thank you to all the Racers! Sponsorship pledges are still coming in, but we have raised over $4,000 of the staff and ministries of YU in North York. Thank you to all those who contributed for their generosity in helping young people reach their full life potential.

Book off your calendars for the Amazing Race 2011 in May!
